01 Dec HOLY COW
I’m enjoying being in a new country this month. The country of Pakistan. My host is taking me back into villages where other visitors don’t go. They tell me that most evangelists who come only go to the larger cities where they can gather the largest crowds. I was taken last night to a village where no foreign minister has ever been. They were excited to see an American. The worship was awesome and the crowd response was wonderful. Some of them believe they were “naturally” born Christians. I preached the gospel that you must be born again and there is no other way. Christ must be revealed to us by the Holy Spirit and then we must choose to accept Him and be converted. The entire church answered the altar call. Many demon possessed people came for prayer and were delivered. Many deaf and mute were also healed by the Lord. People with pains, aches and physical problems all touched by the healing hand of our Savior. God in action saving them and demonstrating His power and love to them!
An old man approached me after the meeting and brought me a metal bucket with a lid on it. The bucket was full of milk. He had gone quickly after the meeting and milked his cow. It was all he had and he wanted God to bless his cow to produce more milk. He had brought a milk offering for me to present to the Lord so his cow would be blessed. I was so touched. I can say I have never received a milk offering until now. There had been no offering taken at the meeting, but he had seen the miracles and he had decide to bring it so his family could have more milk to sell for income. We used the milk to place in the coffee and tea for everyone after the service. It was glorious!
Here in this country they have a blasphemy law. If they feel you have disrespected their Muslim prophet you can be killed right on the spot. There will be no court or arrest made. So to become a Christian one really must believe. They truly have to count the cost. Their families can reject them and even kill them. As American Christians we don’t know what true persecution is. We experience personal offenses and call that “persecution”.
“Oh, that men everywhere would praise the Lord for His goodness and tell of His great deeds.” Here in Pakistan they look for a reason to bring an offering. Many places just want everything for free. King David said, ” I will give nothing to the Lord that hasn’t cost me.” I pray your walk with Christ isn’t just you wanting to receive from God and never give.
Let’s learn from this man and his milk offering and bring all we have to the Lord so He can bless it, multiply it, and anoint it to prosper. I pray the Lord’s face shine upon you and that His amazing grace and mercy shall always be with you. Continue to pray for this trip. There are many more souls to touch in the next couple of weeks and your prayers “make the world of difference”.
Expecting everyday miracles …everyday for you,
